We sell proxies. Oxylabs sells proxies. You found this page by searching for a comparison written by one of the two, which is a reason for scepticism, so here is the framing up front: for a large enterprise data programme, Oxylabs is frequently the better choice, and we will say why in detail. For a developer or a small team spending a few hundred dollars a month, we think we are the better choice, and we will say why that is too.

Pool size and geographic depth. Oxylabs publishes a residential pool in the ~175 million range across 195 countries. Ours is around 30 million. For most work that difference is invisible — you will never exhaust either — but it stops being invisible in two places: heavy concurrency against a single target where address repetition raises your detection rate, and long-tail geography where a country's pool is measured in hundreds of IPs. If you need reliable city-level coverage in Zambia or Bolivia, check both and expect us to be thinner.
Scraper APIs. Oxylabs sells Web Scraper API, SERP Scraper API and E-Commerce Scraper API: managed endpoints that handle rendering, unblocking, retries and parsing, and hand back structured JSON. We do not sell that and have no plans to. If your team wants to send a URL and receive parsed data without maintaining a crawler, we are not the vendor. Buying that from us plus building the crawler yourself will cost more engineering time than buying it from them.
Enterprise procurement and compliance. SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, a formal DPA process, named account management, contractual SLAs with credits, and a legal team that will answer your legal team. We have a DPA and we take security seriously; we do not have the certification portfolio, and if your procurement checklist requires it, that is a hard blocker rather than a preference.
Products we do not sell. Dedicated datacenter at their scale, an enterprise-grade proxy manager UI, and a support organisation with 24/7 coverage across multiple time zones and languages.
Track record. They have been operating since 2015. We have not. Longevity is a real signal when you are betting a data pipeline on a vendor's continued existence, and it is not a signal we can manufacture.
Price at the volumes most teams actually buy. Oxylabs' residential pay-as-you-go rate has been roughly $8/GB, with the meaningfully lower per-GB rates arriving in committed monthly plans. Our published rate is lower at every tier we sell, and our volume breaks start far earlier. The comparison inverts at the top: at genuinely large committed volume, negotiated enterprise pricing beats our list price, and we will tell you that on a sales call rather than after you have signed.
No minimum commitment and no expiring bandwidth. Bandwidth you buy from us does not expire. That is a policy commitment, not a promotion. Most of the industry — Oxylabs included — expires unused traffic at the end of the billing period, which quietly converts a bursty workload into 30–40% waste. If your usage is spiky, that single difference can exceed the per-GB gap in either direction.

Usage visibility. Per-hour, per-country, per-plan bytes, request counts, success rates and mean latency, in the dashboard, with no upgrade tier. Granular usage analytics are the thing customers migrating to us mention most often, which we read as a gap in the market rather than a triumph.
Support that is engineers. Median first response is under an hour during European and US business hours, and the person answering can read gateway auth logs. At our size that is achievable; at ten times our size it usually is not.

Choose Oxylabs if your procurement requires SOC 2 or ISO 27001; you want managed scraping APIs rather than your own crawler; you need contractual SLAs with credits; your volume is large enough that negotiated pricing applies; or you need dense city-level coverage in unusual markets.
Choose us if you are spending between roughly $50 and $2,000 a month; your usage is bursty and expiring bandwidth is costing you real money; you want to start in five minutes without talking to anyone; you want per-country usage analytics without an upgrade; or you want support that can read your gateway logs on the first reply.
Run both if the workload is important. Proxy performance is target-specific to a degree that makes general benchmarks close to useless. Buy the smallest unit each vendor sells, point both at your actual target with your actual crawler, and compare success rate, latency, and bytes consumed per successful page. That last metric is the one people forget: a provider with a 15% lower per-GB price and a 25% higher retry rate is more expensive.
We will not claim we are faster. Latency depends on the exit peer and the target, and any provider quoting a single global average is quoting a number they chose. We will not claim a higher success rate without naming the target and the date. We will not claim our pool is comparable in size, because it is not.
What we will claim is that for a small team, the total cost of running a crawl on our network is usually lower, and the time between deciding to try and having data is measured in minutes. If that is not the constraint you are optimising for, buy from them — and tell support you compared, because that feedback is more useful to us than a sale we were not right for.
